Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist
The Driscoll Health System in Corpus Christi, Texas is recruiting a Board certified / Board Eligible Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist. Qualified candidates will work in a team of 4 Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologists. The Heart Center at Driscoll Children's Hospital is under rapid expansion with ongoing construction of state-of-the-art operating rooms, cardiac catheterization suite and a 34-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit. The ideal applicant, MD/ DO, will have successfully completed a Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship in an ACGME accredited program and must be ABA board certified. The pediatric cardiovascular anesthesia division at the Driscoll Children’s Hospital Heart Center covers all congenital cardiac patients for cardiac based procedures both in the OR and the cardiac catheterization lab. We also cover most of the congenital cardiac patients when they present for non-cardiac surgery.
Pediatric Anesthesiologist Currently, the Anesthesiology group is a physician only team of 13. We are growing and this is a NEW position. There is an opportunity (optional) to advance into Cardiac Anesthesia with great support and mentorship. Requirements: MD/DO, will have successfully completed an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in anesthesiology followed by successful completion of an accredited fellowship in pediatric anesthesiology.
Pediatric Medical Director Imaging Cardiology The Medical Director of Imaging will guide the expansion of the imaging lab and provide oversight of all cardiac imaging. Current modalities include cardiac MRI, CT, and fetal imaging. Requirements: Board certified in Pediatric Cardiology and have 5-7 years of clinical experience with Imaging as the focused area of interest. Must have a proven history in a leadership role with vision and strategic planning.
Child Abuse Pediatrician The Child Abuse Pediatrician will join a highly dedicated team of healthcare professionals. The Child Abuse Resource and Evaluation Team, under the medical direction of Dr. Raquel Vargas-Whale, is supported by an experienced team of, Licensed Master’s-Level Social Workers, Forensic Nurse examiners and administrative office assistants. The Child Abuse Pediatrician will be responsible for providing medical forensic evaluations and consultations and have strong clinical skills. There are opportunities for teaching residents and medical students through an affiliation with Texas A&M University Health Science Center and the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Requirements: Board certified or board eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics and American Board of Pediatrics, will be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Dermatologist The Pediatric Dermatologist will join an established practice. Flexible employment opportunities make for a great work-life balance; full-time Monday – Friday 8-5 or part-time – most any combination work hours, or Telederm – most any combination hours. Requirements: Board certified or Board eligible with fellowship training in Pediatric Dermatology and have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Otolaryngology New position The Pediatric Otolaryngologist will join a busy thriving practice with senior partners and a built-in patient base. Requirements: Board certified or board eligible and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Hospitalist/Nocturnist The Nocturnist responsibilities include inpatient care, coverage of pediatric unit and intermediate care unit, consult service, and participate in teaching third and fourth year medical students and pediatric residents. Applicants will be considered for a faculty appointment at Texas A&M University and other affiliate medical schools. Bilingual experience English/Spanish is welcomed, but not necessary for consideration. Requirements: Board certified or board eligible and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Maternal-Fetal Medicine The Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician will join an established group with senior partners and a dedicated support team in Corpus Christi, Texas. Driscoll Children’s Hospital is supported by more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, with a 24/7 staffed NICU. Requirements: ABOG or AOA approved fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine and be board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology or by the American Osteopathic Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Child Neurologist The Child Neurologist will join a thriving practice with a growing patient base. This well-established program consists of four Neurologists, five dedicated RNs, three medical office specialists, two medical assistants and three EEG technicians. Our patient population is diverse with rare disorders and common conditions to keep every day interesting and challenging. Requirements: ACGME or AOA accredited 2 years Pediatric residency and 3 years Neurology residency with special emphasis on Child Neurology. Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Nephrologist The Pediatric Nephrologist will join a robust program engaged in providing the highest standard of patient care for the children of South Texas. The Division provides a full range of clinical services including living and deceased donor transplantation, acute and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, plasmapheresis, and CRRT. Driscoll Children’s Hospital owns and operates the only freestanding pediatric hemodialysis units in South Texas, with a 5-station unit in Corpus Christi, and a 4-station unit in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, supported by a team of experienced dialysis nurses, and dedicated dietitians, social workers, and child life services. Driscoll Children’s Hospital is an active member and participant of NAPRTCS, SCOPE, Midwest Pediatric Nephrology Consortium, CKiD, and has recently joined IROC. Requirements: dual-boarded in Pediatrics and Pediatric Nephrology and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Radiology This is a NEW opportunity. The pediatric radiology group consists of four (4). This opportunity allows for a great combination of rewarding work along with a quality lifestyle. Requirements: Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Radiology. A CAQ in Pediatric Radiology is desired but not mandatory and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Surgery The Pediatric Surgeon will join a busy thriving practice with senior partners and a built-in patient base. Currently, the division consists of 3 Pediatric Surgeons with expertise in laparoscopy, transplantation, bariatric surgery, trauma, and urology. Requirements: ACGME or AOA accredited residency in General Surgery followed by successful completion of an accredited fellowship in Pediatric Surgery and subspecialty certification in Pediatric Surgery by the American Board of Surgery and eligible for licensure in the state of Texas.
Pediatric Urologist The Pediatric Urologist will join a busy thriving practice with a senior partner and a built-in patient base! We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to provide high-quality treatment in a caring and compassionate environment. Our team consists of a Pediatric Urologist, two Advanced Practice Providers, RNs, and medical assistants.
